It's also great for baby, from wonderful receiving blankets (for the most basic version, you can serge or hem the edges; if you want to get a bit fancier, use a jersey bias tape to bind the edges or do a double layer that you then turn right-side-out so you have clean edges) to splendid clothes.

At 10.2 ounces per linear yard, the fabric weighs 6.8 ounces per square yard. There's about 40% stretch.
